Air Travel: There are 3 major airports in the San Francisco Bay area, with San Francisco International Airport (SFO) being the primary gateway for international flights with many direct connections. Oakland International Airport (OAK) and San Jose International Airport (SJC) also offer international connections, but are less convenient. Upon arrival at SFO, the most convenient way to reach Berkeley Lab is by public transportation (Bay Area Rapid Transit BART).
Public Transportation: BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) provides direct service from SFO to Downtown Berkeley. From there, attendees of the ICMFS2027 can use the free LBNL lab shuttle. For more information and schedules about BART, visit BART's official website.
Air Travel: In addition to SFO, both OAK and SJC serve domestic flights, but SFO will be the most convenient due to the direct connection to the public transport BART system which departs directly from the International terminal G.
Driving: Berkeley Lab is easily accessible via major highways. On-site parking is very limited and parking in Berkeley can be very expensive.
Free Shuttle: Berkeley Lab offers a complimentary shuttle service for conference attendees. The shuttle runs regularly between Downtown Berkeley and the Lab, ensuring easy and convenient access. Timetables and pick-up locations will be provided upon registration or can be found on the Berkeley Lab website.
